David Fischer I am currently spending lots of my spare time with Cyberpunk 2077, and walking around Night City in the dark is one of my preferred activities. Introducing Beyond the Ghost. Don't get me wrong - this is far from being aggrotech or darkwave of sorts, but its dystopian, noir ambience is just an outrageously fitting musical accompaniment. Of course, this album can also be enjoyed on its own, undoubtbedly - but its futuristic, sometimes yet nostalgic soundscape helps me immerse deeper into the game. Favorite track: The Darkness Before My Eyes.

snapfreeze97 My childhood was filled with the sounds of Noir, with old black and white films, most notably the works of Bernard Herrmann. This gave me a taste for dissonant atmospheres, and darker moods. This recording takes that concept into the present, and possibly the future. Definitely music for the outsider that prefers the night hours.

filthyriver This is my favorite Cryo chamber album I have come a crossed yet.The album moves along at a fast pace taking you with it to the very bar it was created to be. Favorite track: A Transient Shelter.

DarkSolarus This Album is the best album I own to date. I consider myself to be good ambient musician, however after listening to the first demo track of this album, I knew I would come to the conclusion that I still have a lot to learn. however much I might hate Beyond the Ghost for this masterpiece of Ambient Music, I have to love it to.
the best Album of 2021 so far.......... Favorite track: The Sadness of All Things.

Hellschreiber Dark ambient soundscapes with a dark jazz edge are complimented by subtle field recordings, resulting in a fantastical audio canvas of tones and textures, immersing us fully in the sorrowful and suspended world of Berlin, 2060. This is ambient noir of the highest order. Magnificent!

about

Beyond the Ghost presents his first album in the Europa Series, a futuristic, bleak and moving sound voyage that merges electronics and acoustics.

BERLIN, the year is 2060. The whole of Europe is fraught with sickness and poverty and tensions are arising between the remaining populations.  Resources are low, war is imminent. The streets are cold and lonely.  The shining sun has become a notion of the distant past. Every day feels darker than the next. The people who are left stay locked inside, fearing for their lives. There is nothing left to do but wait out the inevitable doom. An old club called 'The Last Resort' is one of the only places that’s still open. There, a few brave and lonely souls gather together to drink the night away to the woeful tunes of the house band. Between sets, a broken alert system in the streets can still be heard, blasting out remnants of news that don't make sense anymore, like echoes of foreign voices lost in transmission. Against all odds, a few letters of the club's neon light still flicker on and off, illuminating the patrons' faces, their expressions hanging heavy with loss and pain. Few words are exchanged, and yet their devout presence during such times makes us wonder:  will they accept their defeat or will they fight for a better future? But for now, they are only focused on making it safely home after the last call, their heads hung low, their feet shuffling through the darkness, humming to the sounds they just heard, to mourn the loss of one more day during these sorrowful and suspended times.

Recommended for fans of noir, melancholy and molotov cocktails
