L.Tech Cities Last Broadcast's THE CANCELLED EARTH (Cyclic Law, 2009) is one of my all time favorite CD's, and a genre-defining masterpiece in the history of dark ambient music.

THE HUMMING TAPES is a worthy follow-up, replete with Kammarheit's trademark grungey bass drones, haunted soundscapes and other-worldly field recordings. An essential addition to your ambient collection. Favorite track: Electricity.

This Is Darkness Each album that comes forth from Pär Boström's frigid North European studio seems to take him in another new direction, each as equally impressive as its predecessor. The Starwheel was an early crowning achievement, but what has come in these last few months has been nothing short of magnificent.

Cold Rollins Pär Boström on Cryo Chamber - what more could you ask for? This is another classic from a true champion of Dark Ambient,subtly incorporating the Cryo Chamber vibe obligingly - at the same doing so with his completely unique engineering mastery.Both Mr Boström and the whole Cryo Chamber crew have a magical quality in their sound imo - what more can i say? 10/10 Favorite track: Centennial.

Matt If we forget for even a moment that this whole album is a masterpiece of haunted, dread-filled ambience; the track Glossolalia alone is why I am beyond glad that Cities Last Broadcast provided a follow-up album to the superb 'The Cancelled Earth'. Thank you! Favorite track: Glossolalia.

Pär Boström of cult project Kammarheit presents us with his side project Cities Last Broadcasts second album, The Humming Tapes

On this album Pär Boström explores his fascination with old seances and the early 20th century. Reel-to-reel tape recorders and de-tuned instrumentation combined with modern mixing techniques creates an album that sounds haunted, but also careful and nurturing.

Pär has with this work taken yet another step forward in his production skill set squashing any doubt that he is one of the most unique artists in the genre with his unorthodox approach to recording his sounds.
