fyeahmetal You know how it's a thing to just wander around video games to take in sights and sounds without worrying about accomplishing goals? This album is like, say, exploring a Resident Evil game world - lots of fog, abandoned swingsets creaking creepily, etc. While the sonic detail is impressive, this album can also be oddly soothing. Maybe it's OK to chill out in the fog for a little while...maybe. Favorite track: Last Train.

Prince Laqroix Oh boy is this album a treat. If you ever want to know what walking through an abandoned city filled with the ghostly memories of the past feels like, look no further. A beautifully spooky album that you should definitely listen to, especially when you're alone in the dark. Every song is fantastic, but Clown is Dead manages to evoke a creeping dread like nothing else Favorite track: Clown is Dead.

CyhAnide There's a touch of uncanny jaunt in Clown is Dead, and night terrors in She Was In a Dream (this one actually gives me shivers of dread near the end). All in all, Lost in Fog feels like...you've gone to an abandoned amusement park, creaking and ruined, and then a mist rolls in and starts changing things without your knowledge. It's spooky and sad, with a bit of noir jazz to pierce the fog. Very much Phonothek's sound, indeed. Favorite track: Clown is Dead.

Echoing muted trumpets sing songs of times past on chilly nights. Acoustic layering create dark geometric imagery for your third eye. Haunted voices pulls you into a sea of vinyl crackles turned reverberating drone. The scent of wax candles fill the room as warm sounds contrast the cold.
