Manages to be both relaxing and disturbing at the same time, as well as deeply immersive. I get a strong sense of dislocation; of floating unmoored in vast, darkened caverns, trying desperately to return to an Earth that no longer exists. Brilliant cautionary climate fable, too.

I do not love this album. Infact, I hate it and hate myself for buying it. It is a miserable failure and a last attempt to find something inspiring in the work of Dronny Darko. Instead, it is a short, bleak and utterly forgetable, a waste of everything indeed.

The soundscapes contained on Dissolving into Solitary Landscapes include a mixture of drones, field recordings and gentle synth tones, all served up in a way that simultaneously seems to soothe and chill at the same time. There are muted or muffled crumps and impacts, sonorous chimes that throb in the air, and atmospheres at times, that seem sentient and watchful. There is a feeling of ruin and of menace, of sadness and of relief, and it’s a fantastic album to delve into on a cold winter night.
Favorite track: The Infinity Bell part 1.

"The global climate repair project of 2036 was a success in that it united warring countries, ended droughts, and cooled the planet. Unfortunately our celebrations and achievements were short-lived, as we discovered the increasing toxicity in the perpetual rains it caused. Within two years we were all forced underground to escape certain extinction. My beautiful world was gone, and replaced with complete artificiality, the incessant roaring of air filtration systems, and daily fights for sustenance. For the young children growing up in this new environment this has all become normal, but for those like me who remember what used to be, life is no longer tolerable. I have tried to adjust for five years now, but I hear the ringing of the infinity bell more loudly each day, beckoning me back to the surface. I know that the journey will result in a slow withering death, but I am ready. It is now my time to rejoin what is left of the nature I so loved, and dissolve into the solitary landscape. Remember me.

What Eusebes throws into the mix however, is the kind of sound that you might hear when one spaceship docks with another, a kind of vigorous thump that goes way beyond straining superstructure. I felt that this was an introspective track, but one that creates the feeling of something coming. A bit like being alone in your house and thinking you hear a door opening downstairs, but on a space-station, with ships and time-warps.

NIGHTMARE FUEL! Industrial sci-fi dark ambient from beginning to end. I can feel the ageing bulkheads creaking and straining through the cold depths of space. The isolation and every nuance of the ships sounds are perfectly visualised. Space Ambient has never been so wonderfully bleak.
