If you want an easy way to discover the artists of Cryo Chamber while still enjoying a great dark ambient album, this is your best bet. More than just a compilation, this is a journey through the flavors and varieties that this genre of music can come in and is expertly compiled into an excellent and cohesive whole.

The quality and depth of vision of the music on this label never ceases to amaze me! If I want to travel inwardly (and I often do) then this group of artists never fail to make the journey exciting,thoughtful and worthwhile.There is a lot of variety here and i'm torn between wanting to keep it all a closely guarded secret and inviting a bigger audience in to share the magic. Tough call!

2014 has been a year full of great album releases and we at Cryo Chamber have been constantly surprised by the talent and attention to detail that our artists have put into their work. My original plan was to go through and buy individual tracks like I do with most compilation albums, but honestly there are just so many good ones that I wound up buying the whole thing. More than simple drones (though there are plenty of those, too), this album collects many of the best and most innovative dark ambient artists in one place, including many who are new to me. Seriously, if you like this kind of brooding music, just buy it. You won't regret it.
